Emeli Sande will be closing the Brits - before taking a six-month break from the limelight, according to reports.

The Scottish singer - who is up for Best Female, Best Album and Best Song at the music bash - wants to focus on recording new music for a while.

Emeli has enjoyed a busy 12 months, performing at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics.

She told The Sun: "I'm happy to leave the limelight for a bit and lay low after.

"I'm going to be in the studio working on my next album.

"I just want to make more music, as that's my favourite thing."

Rockers Muse will open the show, playing Supremacy with a 75-piece orchestra, the newspaper said.

Other performers include Robbie Williams, Mumford And Sons, Ben Howard, One Direction, Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift.
