Knutsford focus on positives after latest league loss
4:49pm Thursday 4th October 2012 in Sport
LEADERS Capenhurst captured maximum points on their visit to Knutsford on Saturday, but the hosts were positive even in defeat.
A fifth successive defeat this season leaves them anchored to the bottom of the RFU's South Lancashire & Cheshire Division Three, not enough to leave Blues too despondent.
Richard Lockett capped an outstanding individual performance with the home team’s score in a 50-5 reverse at Knutsford Academy.
Star Man Jake Barnes covered every blade of grass on an afternoon when youngsters Matt Armstrong and Mark Kerwin made their senior debut.
Newcomer Alex Anderson played on home turf for the first time too.
The club’s senior players continue to practice every Tuesday and Thursday at Knutsford Leisure Centre, on Westfield Drive, from 7.30pm.
