Nominations sought for Cheshire East Council sports awards

CHESHIRE East Council is inviting nominations for its annual Sports Awards, to be dished out at Cranage Hall next month.
The authority’s leisure and play department wants to pick from the borough’s unsung sporting heroes for prizes across eight different categories.
They are; Sports Personality of the Year, Club of the Year, Coach of the Year, Disability sports achiever, Special recognition, Volunteer of the Year, Young Sports achiever and Young Volunteer of the Year.
Suggestions for winners can be sent to the council until Friday, October 19.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the council’s website, or one can be supplied by calling 01625 373778.
