Knutsford manager is proud of team's start

PAUL Schofield says Knutsford have surpassed his expectation after extending their winning start in the Cheshire League to nine matches.

Reds’ manager told the Guardian that his group, crowned Division One champions last season, is determined to win back-to-back titles.

“It’s what we’re aiming for,” he said.

“The attitude shown by the players on the pitch so far this season indicates that they feel it’s a target they can reach.

“We’ve matched the start we made last year now, something I didn’t think would be possible to repeat.

“Funnily enough, I don’t think we’ve played as well as we did then but still the results have been good.”
