KNUTSFORD’S results record remains perfect even if their on-pitch performance was not at the weekend.

Reds came from behind to subdue Garswood, but owed a debt of gratitude to goalkeeper Mark Higgs for keeping them in the contest before half time.

Without his interventions, Paul Schofield’s men might have been beaten for the first time this term.

Not even he could prevent David Hughes from giving the visitors the lead, but a string of fine saves followed as the home team toiled to find their best form.

Buoyed, Knutsford nicked the points when substitute Sean Lynch rose highest to head home a corner with eight minutes left.

It broke Garswood hearts after a gallant display.

It leaves Knutsford eight points clear at the Division One summit after eight matches with Eagle their closest rivals.
