CHELFORD’S Jackie Murphy won five matches to secure the Knutsford Friday League’s Individual Merit at Knutsford Bowling Club on Sunday.

The Division Two regular made the most of her handicap to edge out Victory Hall’s Darren Brookes 21-14 at the end of a gruelling day’s competition.

Murphy’s clubmate Ian Palfreyman, plus Neil Cope (Railway), were the losing semi finalists.

In the league, Victory Hall A hold a nine-chalks advantage over reigning champions Knutsford A after both lost on their travels at High Legh A and Mere A respectively.

Conservative B, in third place, remain unbeaten.
