KNUTSFORD Cons were handed a simple passage to the last 16 of the Cheshire County Bowling Association’s Norman Cup after scheduled opponents Woodlands Hotel conceded their first round tie.

A date with Congleton CC at Winsford’s Meadow Bank Club awaits in the second stage.

The pair will meet on Saturday, July 4, from 2.30pm.

Five other mid Cheshire outfits have reached round two – Castle Private, Comberbach, Frodsham Red Lion, Rudheath Private and Winnington.
