OLIVER Webb left his home circuit as a series leader yesterday.
The Knutsford driver stood on the podium after rounds seven and eight of the Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship at Oulton Park.
“All in all it was a very good weekend for me.”

He now leads his nearest rival by 17 points.
The 17-year-old Forec Motorsport star was third in Sunday’s first race, capitalising on the woes of title rivals James Calado (Fortec Motorsport) and Dean Stoneman (Alpine Motorsport) to the delight of a huge home crowd.
Webb twice broke the lap record, momentarily setting the fastest laps of the race, in his pursuit of second place man Harry Tincknall (CRS Racing).
But he had to settle for a place on the bottom step of the podium in a race won by Dean Smith (Manor Competition).
Smith repeated the trick in the second race, also setting a new circuit best, edging out Webb by just 0.8s to take the chequered flag and an impressive double victory.
Stoneman was third.
A-Level student Webb now takes over from the latter as championship leader after scoring his third and fourth top-three finishes of the campaign.
“All in all it was a very good weekend for me,” he said.
