A DEFEAT in their latest matches has condemned both Mobberley C and Wilmslow Cons B to relegation from the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s top-flight.
With Mobberley A already confirmed as champions, the remaining five teams remain in contention to finish as runners-up.
Shaw Heath sit second but a gap to third-placed Mobberley B – who won at Alderley Union – is only four points.
There were wins too for Brook Street A and Wilmslow Cons A.
Mere A landed what they hope is a knockout blow in a fight to be promoted along with Tatton from Division Two when they defeated closest-rivals Mobberley D on aggregate.
Elsewhere, Wlmslow RBL brushed aside fellow-strugglers Mere C and the champions-elect beat Brook Street B.
