KATE Mills battled through the mud to record her best result of the season in the Manchester Area Cross Country League’s final round last weekend.
The Knutsford Tri Club member was 67th to reach the finish in the senior women’s race, 13th in the over 40s women’s age-group category, at Wythenshawe Park.
It left her just outside of the top 10 after points collected over five races were combined.
Amanda Trivett, Claire Hebblethwaite and Lauren Carr completed a team that classified 24th on the day.
Sean Connon crossed the line 28th for Knutsford Tri Club in the senior men’s race.
