MOBBERLEY A were not at their best, but still found a way to beat Mobberley B in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s latest round.

They share the Division One lead with Shaw Heath, who edged out Wilmslow Cons A on aggregate.

Promoted Mobberley C took two frames from Alderley Union, last term’s runners-up, while Brook Street A brushed aside their guests Wilmslow Cons B.

Tatton took over top spot in the second tier following a whitewash of Mobberley D, while Mere B registered a solid success against clubmates Mere C.

Wilmslow RBL lost 5-2 at home to Mere A in the other game played.

Meanwhile it was Brook Street B’s turn to sit out in the seven-team section.
