VICTORY Hall A are showing no signs of slowing down after a blistering start to a new Knutsford Friday League season, scoring a full house at home to Chelford A.

And the champions were not the only ones chalking up a big score in Division One; Mere A dropped only two chalks against Goostrey A, while Cranford A gave up just three at home to High Legh A.

Meanwhile Railway A, in second spot, scored 162 at Swettenham A, where they returned six winning cards.

Knutsford B, victors at home to Swettenham B, lead the way in Division Two.

Warford Park B lost at High Legh B, while Oughtrington A – with 154 against Victory Hall B – were the section’s top-scorers.

Molly Sutton, of Church Inn A, begins a defence of her Individual Merit title at High Legh on Friday.

A field of 70 bowlers takes part in the handicap competition, which is scheduled to conclude at Railway Inn on Sunday.

Sutton prevailed against Terry Bithell (Cranford) in last year’s final.
