KNUTSFORD head into a top-of-the-table derby on the back of a ‘gift’.
For the second time this year Acton Nomads failed to raise a full team to face Knutsford and effectively handed the points away in North West Intermediate League Division Five South at the weekend.
Nomads borrowed some members of Knutsford’s squad to make up two sides of 12 in order to ‘not waste the afternoon’.
The action provided a good contact session in preparation for Saturday’s trip to Lymm’s fourths, who hold top spot ahead of Knutsford by virtue of points difference.
