PAUL Elkin held his nerve to secure for Morley one of the narrowest wins to date in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s Team Knockout.
He cleared the colours to edge his side’s close encounter with top-flight rivals Tatton by a single point on Wednesday.
Their reward is a semi-finals meeting with Mobberley C, the only Division Two side still in the competition.
They reached the last four following a 48-point success against clubmates Mobberley D.
Favourites Mobberley A made it through as well despite their opponents Wilmslow Cons B enjoying a 150-point handicap head-start.
Mark Newall starred with a 107-point frame.
Brook Street A complete the semi-finals line-up after they ended the run of second tier underdogs Mere B.
