KNUTSFORD could not prevent Warrington and District Summer League title favourites Capricorn from extending a winning run, but they did get closer to the champions-elect.
Goal attack Andrea Whiston was their best performer during a 46-32 defeat in the Premier Division at Newton-le-Willows on Wednesday.
Knutsford's seconds beat Beechwood 36-13 in Division One, when player-coach Emma Pike received the player of the match nomination.
In Division Two, Knutsford's thirds missed out on a chance to swap places with their opponents Warrington Town fifths when they went down 23-11.
Ellie Ford was Knutsford fourths star turn in a 27-7 reverse against Capricorn's seconds in Division Three.
