Bowdon 3rd 14 Holmes Chapel 48
HOLMES Chapel, 13 points clear in Division Four South, returned to winning ways at Bowdon after the previous week's shock reverse to Northwich.
A more structured approach will be a focus when hosting Crewe & Nantwich thirds this Saturday, kick off 3pm.
Chapel concluded that natural ability and pace were central to assembling a 34-7 lead in the first period at Bowdon.
After changes at the break, Bowdon pinned the league leaders back for periods.
The pick of the first-half tries was a team move that led to tight-head prop Rob Moore setting up fellow front-rower Dave Steer to crash over.
Inside centre replacement Gav Paton caused Bowdon problems in the second half, with one of his breaks leading to Conor Gavin putting Luke Day over.
And Day concluded the scoring too, racing onto a smart inside pass off replacement scrum half Bob Hamilton.
