KIRSTY Clarkson enjoyed success as contenders flocked to Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre at the weekend to contest the outcome of an Arena Eventing League.
The rider from Knutsford took top spot in the BE100 League with Oliedunit, a dun-coloured gelding who, in the past, has enjoyed wins at The Cheshire Show.
It is the start of a busy year for Clarkson.
“Arena Eventing prepares us for the event season ahead and the course is always brilliant at Kelsall Hill,” said Clarkson, who explained that the duo are focusing their attentions on the Mitsubishi Motors Cup at the Badminton Horse Trials.
In the Arena Eventing Championships, where riders must tackle a course of show jumps immediately followed by cross-country fences within an optimum time, competitors can accumulate points over six fixtures.
