BRUCE Tulley added 27th Knutsford and District League title to his collection on Sunday, winning the annual Six Reds Challenge.
The Mobberley A man lifted the trophy for the first time following a 2-0 win in the final against Gary Long, representing Brook Street A.
Tully had squeezed past league secretary, and clubmate, Tony Crompton on the last black of a deciding frame in their semi-final encounter.
Long, winner two years ago, ended the run of Paul Hodson (Mobberley B).
A total of 21 players, split into four groups, were at Mobberley for the sixth edition of the short-format competition.
Mobberley A continue to set the pace at the Division One summit following a 6-1 win at Tatton that leaves them 16 points clear of second-placed Morley A.
Their rivals won 5-2 at Brook Street A.
Wilmslow Cons A closed to within four points of Morley A after winning twice this week; first, in a rearranged fixture against Brook Street B then at home to relegation-threatened Mere B.
Mobberley B were also victors this week.
Division Two leaders Morley B edged Shaw Heath, while Wilmslow RBL missed a chance to close the gap after dropping two points against back-markers Mere C.
