ADAM Jenkinson declared himself happy after completing three races in a single afternoon on Sunday.

The Knutsford rider took fourth in the National Superstock 1000 Championship sprint at Thruxton, his first finish in the series since the third round at Oulton Park in May.

He then deputised for Broc Parkes in two British Superbike Championship races at the Hampshire circuit, classifying 12th and 13th respectively on board a Milwaukee Yamaha.

"I loved riding the superbike," he said afterwards.

"I was glad to get the stock race out of the way first so I didn't have to jump between machines.

"In the races I chipped away and got stronger as each went on. With a couple more laps, I could have moved further up the order."

The 31-year-old was fastest during qualifying for the Superstock 1000 race, starting from pole position as a reward.

Championship leader Josh Elliott passed him for the lead on the second lap, but Jenkinson remained in contention at the front throughout and pinched fourth from Hudson Kennaugh following a final-lap move.

"I felt we deserved better," he said afterwards.

"But I lost grip in the second half of the race, which meant I was down on top-end speed at the end of each lap.

"After all our bad luck, I'm happy to finish a race.

"Given I've only just recovered from a broken wrist and a damaged back, it's great to be back in the mix. Once everything is 100 per cent, we'll challenge for wins."
