KNUTSFORD Tri Club members were among the 600-plus athletes to finish last weekend’s Wilmslow Triathlon.
Lucy Scott won a close battle to win the women’s race, only securing the title in the final phase of the running leg to end the challenge of Katherine Bancroft.
She crossed the line in 1:20.12, 33 seconds clear of her rival.
Rebecca Brand, of Manchester Triathlon Club, was third.
Rob Wilson, in Knutsford Tri Club’s distinctive black and pink colours, was sixth overall in 1:11.41 in his first triathlon since 2013.
He classified as runner-up in the men’s 45-49 age group.
Andy Heaps was close behind Wilson in 11th place, ranking third among men aged between 30 and 34.
Clubmate Kate Mills was third in the women’s 35-39 category, fifth female in the field to complete a 400m swim, 24.2km cycle and 6.3km run.
Mark Wrigley, also of Knutsford Tri Club, was ranked ninth in the men’s 50-54 class.
