CHILDREN who train at a club in Knutsford have won four regional titles between them.

Ginni Kearns and Millie Marshall returned from the North West Floor and Vault Championships with gold medals after representing Gymfinity, based at Egerton Youth Club.

Meanwhile Emma Routs and Maggie Thompson matched that feat at the North West Out of Age Championships.

Both competitions were held at Robin Park Sports Centre in Wigan.

“It’s a fantastic achievement for a small club when you consider the big city rivals our girls are up against,” said head coach Ruth Chapman.

Ginni scored highest on both apparatus in the pre-novice aged 10 category, while Millie was highest-ranked on vault and second on floor in the pre-novice aged 12 class.

Gymfinity’s Georgia Murray, best on floor and third on vault, took silver behind her clubmate.

Mia Platt was second overall in the novice aged nine category, scoring highest on vault.

Emma outperformed her rivals in the pre-novice aged nine class, first place on floor and vault earning her overall gold.

Four of the top five gymnasts in the pre-novice aged eight category were Gymfinity members, with Millie Roberts returning with a silver medal.

Susannah Kirsten ranked highest on floor in the pre-novice aged 10, while Milana Masten Taylor did the same on vault in the novice aged 10 group.
