KNUTSFORD’S Simon Hill tightened his grip on the Teekay Couplings Production GTi crown with two wins at Oulton Park.
The reigning champion was racing his 1800cc VW Golf GTi at the venue’s BRSCC race day and leads the championship.
Hill started from second in his first race before taking to the front on the first corner and setting fastest times on the next two laps. He pulled out a three-second lead before damaging the steering, but managed to nurse the car to the chequered flag.
Starting from pole in the second race, Hill set the race’s fastest lap on the second and pulled out a significant lead.
