SCHOOLBOYS have their sights set on representing their region after being invited to a trial.
Freddie Pass and Ted Parr, both students at Knutsford Academy, hope to impress selectors for the North of England side in the coming weeks.
If they do, then they could be selected for the Futures Cup – a competition run by governing body England Hockey Board – later this year.
The 15-year-olds, both former pupils at Bexton Primary School, are members at Bowdon Hockey Club.
The duo, one a defender and the other a midfield player, will spend six days during the summer being assessed in Manchester.
