HOLMES Chapel Hurricanes scored a hat-trick in the Mid-Cheshire Youth Football League last season with three teams winning awards for their on-pitch behaviour.

The club’s under eights, nines and 15s sides were presented with a Fair Play prize in recognition of how they conduct themselves during matches.

Managers of rival clubs voted in their favour.

“It’s great that our peers recognise the ethos of our club, which we work hard to promote,” said secretary Andrew Connor.

That was not the only silverware picked up by Holmes Chapel – their under 14s finished first in Division Two to be crowned champions for a second successive season.
