ATHLETICS: Denham's silver
MOBBERLEY’S Georgina Denham won a silver medal during Saturday’s Cheshire Schools’ Track and Field Championships.
The 13-year-old, a student at The Ryleys School in Alderley Edge, clocked 5:02.1 in the junior girls’ 1,500m to claim second spot behind race winner Lauren Ferris (Warrington).
Ben Lee, from Knutsford, was third in the junior boys’ 800m behind older rivals after timing a personal best 2:12.4.
