KNUTSFORD maintained their 100 per cent start to the Cheshire Alliance Division Two campaign when they won by two wickets at Frodsham on Saturday.

Zahirul Islam smashed his way 86, including an impressive 10 sixes, before he was caught out as Knutsford eased to the required total in less than 30 overs to record a fourth successive victory.

John Sheldon (29) chipped in too. Earlier, veteran newcomer Dave Molloy had claimed another five-wicket haul for the loss of 57 runs in support captain Adam Clayton in the visitors’ bowling attack.

Adnan Ghazanfar chipped in with two wickets for 24, while Sheldon and Shake Shimul claimed the others to skittle home team Frodsham for 160.
