CHAMPIONS Mobberley A whitewashed Morley in the Knutsford and District Amateur League Division One while their second-placed B side enjoyed success when they hosted Wilmslow RBL.

Mobberley’s C side secured two points against Tatton as elsewhere Brook Street A claimed an aggregate point win against Wilmslow Cons A.

Shaw Heath B are the Division Two champions after a whitewash victory against Mere A combined Royal London’s 4-3 win at Mobberley E and Mere B’s bye-week put them mathematically out of reach.

The results also mean Mere B cannot finish runners up and have missed out on promotion.

Wilmslow Cons C hammered Brook Street B away and Mobberley D stopped form team Mere C in their tracks with a 5-2 victory.

In the Six Reds Challenge at Mobberley on Sunday, Tatton’s Rob Clarke and Paul Townsend, plus Wilmslow RBL representative Andy Kelly, progressed unbeaten to the semi finals.

Gary Long of Brook Street came through as the ‘best of the rest’.

The quick-fire format at the ‘business end’ of the frame led to close matches and the semis were no exception despite the two nil scorelines to Long and Kelly.

Kelly retained his form to take the crown in the final without dropping a frame.
