Egerton 3 Moore United 0

MANAGEMENT duo Ben Smith and Graham Egerton are hoping to finish the season on a high after their Egerton side beat Moore United 3-0 on Saturday.

The new bosses witnessed Egerton take three points during their second game in charge thanks to goals from Rory Pownall, Ant Ottaway and Tim Beresford.

The hosts almost went further ahead as substitute Howard Clayton rattled the crossbar after the break and Mike Simmons went close late on.

Egerton said: “It’s been a very pleasing start for us and the lads have responded to how we want to play and what we want to bring into the football club, in terms of style of play and preparation.

“Things are just settling down now and taking shape, pre season will be massive for us, however we still have lots of points up for grabs and hopefully a good run in the President's Cup"
