MARK Evans’ brace for Knutsford A helped to ease their relegation fears in the Altrincham and District Amateur League’s top flight on Saturday.
Jamie Way was on target too in a 3-2 success at struggling Swinton, marking only the second time this season that Brian Deeley’s men have recorded back-to-back wins in Division One.
They climb to eighth place in the table as a reward.
To make it a hat-trick of wins, they will need to become the first team to win at leaders AFC Quarry when the teams meet on Saturday.
Ominously, the table-toppers ran out 11-1 victors at Manchester Road during the return game back in September.
Kick off this weekend is 2pm.
