RUGBY clubs affected by emergency situations like flooding can apply for short term emergency capital funding of up to £5,000 to help replace or repair affected facilities or equipment.
This emergency funding, provided by the Rugby Football Union, covers any unforeseen act which renders a club unable to operate or fulfil business commitments, situations resulting from the likes of flooding, wind damage, fire, theft or vandalism, which cause match postponement and financial hardship.
Clubs affected by an emergency situation should check with their area facility manager to discover whether they can access this funding.
The relevant area facility manager is Tom Bartram (Lancashire and Cheshire) at tombartram@rfu.com or on 07841 156806.
Clubs can also access advice for coping with and recovering from flood damage via www.rfu.com/facilities
