CHAMPIONS Mobberley A whitewashed Shaw Heath A in the latest round of matches in the Knutsford and District Amateur League.
Tatton remain unbeaten after edging out Wilmslow RBL on aggregate, while Brook Street A were comfortable against out-of-sorts Morley.
In the inter-club derbies, Mobberley B defeated Mobberley C while Wilmslow Cons A ceded top spot in the standings after losing narrowly to Wilmslow Cons B.
Mere B and Shaw Heath B are still without defeat in Division Two after recording 6-1 wins against Wilmslow Cons C and Mobberley D respectively.
Mobberley E continue to progress after a 5-2 victory at Brook Street B, while Mere A claimed bragging rights after their derby with Mere C.
Tony Crompton, one of two English Association of Snooker and Billiards (EASB)-approved coaches in the league, hosts a free coaching session at Mobberley tomorrow, Thursday.
It is the latest in a series of sessions, run in conjunction with Paul Townsend, designed to raise the standard of play across the competition’s two sections.
Crompton said: “Paul and I attended a course aimed at those who have a genuine passion for the game and are motivated to help develop the sport by passing on that enthusiasm and know-how to others.
“The committee has backed us, recognising that it could help to breath new life into the league and perhaps attract new players.”
Members at Mobberley, Morley, Royal London, Wilmslow Cons and Wilmslow RBL can attend the workshop.
