Egerton moving up
IMPROVING Egerton climbed to ninth place in the Cheshire League’s second division after a 2-1 win at Penlake on Saturday.
The Knutsford outfit, boosted by goals for Tom Worthington and substitute Clive Hampshire, have picked up maximum points in four of their past six matches.
They travel to promotion-chasing Rudheath, based in Northwich, this weekend.
Division Two, Saturday: Daten 3 Barnton 4; Malpas 4 Maine Road res 5; Moore 1 Rudheath 4; Penlake 1 Egerton 2; Poynton 2 Congleton Vale 3. This Saturday (3pm) inc: Rudheath v Egerton.
