KNUTSFORD’S netballers will play again in the Warrington and District League’s Premier Division during the next winter season, despite losing their latest match on Wednesday.

They went down to a narrow 16-14 defeat against Capricorn, struggling to recover from a slow start that left them 9-4 adrift at half time.

Knutsford’s seconds ended a long wait for a win against Beechwood, sharp shooting the key to a 24-16 success against opponents with promotion as an objective.

There was a victory to savour for the club’s third team, comfortable 20-13 winners against Wanderers in Division Two.
