EGERTON suffered a fifth successive defeat in the Altrincham and District Amateur League, losing by a single goal to Swinton.
The Knutsford outfit’s hosts had not won any of their previous three matches in Division One, but took maximum points on Saturday to leave the visitors five points from safety at the foot of the table.
Egerton visit Sale Amateurs next Knutsford A, without a fixture last week, travel to Sale United, kick off 2pm.
