KNUTSFORD’S Oliver Webb drove the car he will compete in this season for the first time in Spain on Friday.
The 21-year-old piloted his Fortec Motorsports machine at the first World Series by Renault Formula 3.5 collective test at Aragon, making encouraging progress.
He set the sixth fastest time overall in a wet morning session, sliding to 17th overall when combined times were taken into account after a drier period.
Webb’s teammate Stoffel Vandoorne, signed by Formula 1 team McLaren as a junior driver this week, was fastest on track in both sessions.
