Georgina Denham in cross country success

GEORGINA Denham matched stride for stride the Cheshire champion during the Saucony English Cross Country Association National Championships on Saturday.

The Mobberley schoolgirl, competing in Vale Royal Athletics Club colours, clocked the same time as Melissa Boyer (Warrington AC) at Sunderland’s Herrington Park.

She finished 40th in the under 13s girls’ race, run over 3km.
