SUBSTITUTE Thomas Perkins scored twice for visitors Deans Youth to send Knutsford A out of the Altrincham and District Amateur Football League’s Challenge Trophy on Saturday.
The Division Two outfit edged their hosts by the odd goal in five, Mark Evans’ double for Reds not enough to see them through to the semi finals next month.
Sale Town await Deans instead.
Egerton lost 7-3 at Wilmslow Sports in the league, Tony Scott – twice – and Mike Simmons scoring for the Knutsford outfit.
Knutsford A are Wilmslow’s guests this weekend, while Egerton travel to in-form table-toppers AFC Quarry.
