KNUTSFORD A host lower-ranked opponents in the Altrincham and District Amateur Football League Challenge Trophy this Saturday, when a semi final place is the victor’s prize.

Division Two pacesetters Deans Youth, beaten only once in the league this season, are the visitors to Manchester Road, kick off 1.30pm.

AFC Quarry, Flixton Juniors and Sale Town are already through to the last four.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Knutsford pushed close title hopefuls Broadheath Central, Mark Evans scoring both of their goals in a 3-2 defeat.

Egerton lost a nine-goal thriller at home to fellow strugglers Kartel, Rob Spilsbury’s hat-trick a highlight for the hosts.

They visit Wilmslow Sports this Saturday, kick off 2pm.
