KNUTSFORD, three players short of a full complement, lost heavily on Saturday at Ellesmere Port in South Lancashire & Cheshire Division Three.
Blues remain without a league win this term, a record they try to put right next at home to Helsby this weekend, kick off 2.15pm.
Neighbours Holmes Chapel lost to the same opponents at the weekend, an 18-12 reverse their six from their past seven games in the section.
They stay ninth in the standings, but do not have a scheduled fixture this weekend.
Knutsford’s under 12s lost 35-28 at home to their Bowdon counterparts the following day, Sunday.
The two teams traded tries in a first half that the hosts ended 21-14 ahead, but their opponents rotated their squad with fresh faces for the second period.
They hauled themselves level at 28-28 before a converted score in the closing stages settled the outcome.
Theo Hulbert, twice, Chris Twomey and George Bryson-Sharples crossed for the home team, all four tries converted by Cormac Grieves.
