A team lose a seven-goal thriller

KNUTSFORD A lost a seven-goal thriller at Sale Amateurs when the Altrincham and District Amateur Football League resumed on Saturday after an enforced two weeks’ break.

Mark Evans, Jordan Pearson and substitute Ben Lavers scored for Reds in a 4-3 defeat.

The two teams meet again this weekend, this time on neutral turf at Crossford Bridge, in the Altrincham and District FA Senior Cup semi finals.

Meanwhile neighbours Egerton remain in trouble at the bottom of the table after a 2-0 reverse at home to Swinton.
