Defeat on travels

PROMOTION favourites Lancaster and Morecambe proved too strong for Knutsford’s men in the only North West League match to survive the weather at the weekend.

The Black Knights lost 3-1 on their travels against opponents who now have a six-points advantage over their closest rivals in the Division Two table.

Knutsford will expect to return to winning ways when ninth-placed Prescot visit the leisure centre this Saturday, push back 1.45pm.
