MOBBERLEY A made light work of opponents Brook Street when the Knutsford and District Amateur League season resumed this week.
The champions-elect extended their wins sequence to 15 matches following a 6-1 success, leaving them a huge 32 points clear at the Division One summit.
Clubmates Mobberley B closed to within five points of second-placed Wilmslow Cons A, on a bye week, after beating Shaw Heath A by the same score.
Morley proved too strong for rock-bottom Mere A, while Tatton’s win at Wilmslow Cons B nudged their victims down to seventh in the standings.
In Division Two, Knutsford Cons B – who sent out Mobberley A from the Team Knockout last week – could not repeat the trick after losing heavily to Wilmslow RBL.
