MOBBERLEY A’s march to the Knutsford and District Amateur League title shows no sign of stopping after their latest success.
Mark Newall cued a 46-points break in a 6-1 success against Tatton, although Wilmslow Cons A’s John Higgins amassed 49 points from a single visit to the table in his side’s win at Mere A.
Mobberley B dropped points at Morley, for whom Paul Hart matched Higgins’ 49 break, while Wilmslow Cons B proved too strong for Brook Street.
In Division Two, Wilmslow RBL closed the gap to leaders Mobberley C after beating the pacesetters by the odd frame.
The gap to top spot is three points, although they have played two more matches.
Shaw Heath B won on aggregate at Royal London after conceding a frame for arriving late, while Knutsford Cons A whitewashed rock-bottom Mere C.
