‘A’ team end bad run of defeats with a nine-goal haul

KNUTSFORD A ended a sequence of four successive defeats in Division One after putting nine goals past strugglers Salford AFC.

Mark Evans and Joseph Woolley both scored four times, Jordan Pearson adding another to leave Reds placed fifth in the table.

Neighbours Egerton recorded their first win of the season after edging rock-bottom Kartel Sports by the odd goal in seven, Mike Simmons’ hat-trick a highlight for the visitors.

Sean Quine’s free kick sealed victory.

Both teams turn their attention to the Altrincham and District FA Senior Cup this weekend when Egerton travel to lower-ranked AP.
