A RESIDENT of St Albans had a brief encounter with an underwear thief who swiped their smalls from the washing line last Friday.
The thief struck at between 1.40pm and 1.50pm in Hart Road, St Albans.
Having followed his victim from St Albans Railway Station, around 20 minutes later he was seen, entering their back garden and stealing the clothes.
He has been described as aged between 25 to 30, 5ft 8ins tall, big built and wearing a dark T-shirt and dark trousers.
