Several members of Plumley WI enjoyed a walk in Little Budworth recently. They have also been busy making preparations for this year's Cheshire Show.
Future events were discussed including Plumley Village Hall Fete on Saturday, June 27 the Cheshire Federation of Women's Institutes' 95th birthday celebrations at Gawsworth Hall on Wednesday, July 8.
The craft group continues to do very well and will be meeting again this month. They have enjoyed making peg bags, needle cases, tissue boxes and raggy bags.
Members enjoyed a party evening with games and prizes. The bloom competition was won by Chris Buckley, with Betty Jones as runner-up.
The next meeting will be on Monday, July 6, when guest speaker Judy Fairless will be giving a talk entitled 'Along the Silk Route'. New members and guests are always welcome.
