HAIRMAN, Marilyn Lloyd, welcomed members and visitors to the recent meeting of Goostrey Flower Club and asked for tombola prizes for the summer lunch on August 13. They can be brought to the June and July meetings. The Cheshire Area of NAFAS Open Day is being held at Frodsham on July 2. Marilyn also asked for help with the raffle every month.

Sue Davis, a national demonstrator, who lives on the edge of Cannock Chase, gave a wonderful demonstration entitled "It's blooming wonderful", filling the stage with flowers. She is a very talented flower arranger and gave lots of hints and ideas for working with flowers. The foyer flowers and vote of thanks were given by Anne Russell.

The next meeting will be on June 11, when Dawn Weaver will give her demonstration "Treasures of art revealed". There will also be a members' competition. Visitors are welcome at Goostrey Village Hall at 2 for 2.30pm.
