Cranford WI by Sue Patterson
Pam Cowburn, the co-president, welcomed members and guests to the June meeting of Cranford WI.
It was a special afternoon tea meeting to celebrate the centenary of the WI movement and the Cheshire Federation of WI's celebration of it's 95th anniversary.
Pam announced that the lunch club meeting at the Court Yard Cafe was a great success and hopefully will be repeated. After the business had been dealt with the members enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea of sausage rolls, quiche and homemade cakes.
Eileen Podmore reported on her visit to the recent garden party at Buckingham Palace which was held in honour of the WI centenary.
The next meeting will be on July 1, at 2pm in the Jubilee Hall, Knutsford. New members and guests are always welcome.
