QUAYGO was the title of Cranford Quilters’ April meeting. It stands for the Quilt As You Go method of joining patchwork blocks and Fiona MacCaulay Davies, speaker for the evening, showed a wide range of quilts put together using this method. Each block or strip is put together with wadding and backing, quilted and then joined together.
Quilt As You Go is a much easier method for working on a large quilt as this is very awkward to manoeuvre using a domestic sewing machine.
