Co-President, Eileen Podmore welcomed members to the May meeting of Cranford WI and announced that the lunch club will meet on May 27 at 12.30 in the Court Yard Coffee House.
The resolution for the NFWI AGM was discussed and the meeting voted unanimously in favour of the resolution, which asks the government to remove the distinction between personal care and nursing care when assessing the needs of individuals.
After refreshments Betty Darbyshire assisted by Judyth Fryer, conducted a silent auction which was great fun and raised over £100.
The next meeting will be on June 3 at 2pm in the Jubilee Hall, Knutsford.
